To better include the voices of people with lived experiences of mental health in the Empowerment Magazine, our Network Director, Marilyn Washington is working on obtaining permissions to conduct community outreaches at the locations bellow in July 2011.
One of the main goals of these community outreaches is to reach out to more people who have a lived experience with mental illness to share about what they are doing to maintain or improve their overall wellness.
Each outreach will consist of approximately 15 minutes of PowerPoint Presentation and 5 to 10 minutes of Questions and Answers. The outreach will mainly target clients and staff at the following facilities who maybe interested in submiting their positive stories to the magazine.
